Just finished reading Rogues Revenge, and ditto on the "one $@%@#$-up year" line. The year of Countdown was particularly bad for DC -- Amazons Attack, the flap over the death of Bart Allen, Countdown -- and only just now with Batman RIP, New Krypton, and other does DC seem to be coming out of it. Certainly seemed to me that Johns writing the Rogues was a sign that bad year had past.

I really loved reading Rogues Revenge.

It confused me a lot that Zoom was really depowered. But then I thought if Barry comes back then his own enemy Professor Zoom can't be far behind! :P

I was at a bus stop when I first read RR3.

A lady nearly called the terminal security guard, I spazzed so badly.

I've always firmly believed that the Inertia that came back during Flash: FMA was not Thad Thawne, but an evil clone of him. Because Bart's total devotion to Max Mercury caused an irreversible change in him, that made him rethink what he'd been doing with his life, and his time as Bart made him see that he had the capacity to be more than just the pawn of a man hell-bent on revenge for his family line.

Or am I thinking about this too hard?

In ending, Inertia had the potential to be an awesome character, but he just hung around the wrong people. You simply can't hang around with Deathstroke and Zoom, two people that make most of the hero community go "O DAMN, WE ARE SCREWED" when they show up, and not expect it to have serious repercussions.

So The Rogues come full circle finally. I'm going to echo the above sentiments and let it be known that Zoom will be sorely missed for the time being. But if Barry is coming back into the forefront there really is no place for him right now anyway. Zolomon is Wally's enemy and really has no beef with Barry and yes he was being overused to the point where you just want DC to put on a Flash Embargo on all Flash characters and only let them be written by Geoff Johns. Although Alan Burnett is pleasantly surprising me over in the regular Flash series. In any case this issue rocked my socks just like all the rest and while the last page leaves me excited for the return of Barry I'm still depressed knowing that Wally isn't really going to be the main Flash anymore. Even though he's earned the title time and time again. I'm with you on the favorite Rogues btw Jason but I would put it more like Weather Wizard, then Zoom, then The Top.

I agree with you on this one, except I'd add my extreme excitement about the ending tease of FLASH: REBIRTH to it. Come on Kelson, you have to be a bit more excited about the future of the Flash after reading this story? The future is bright for all the Flash characters; You'll be a believer yet! Geoff Johns is going to take ALL the Flash character to the next level, Wally West included!!

I miss Zoom already, but I agree, only a few writers outside of Geoff really got him right.
