On Friday, Ethan Van Sciver posted two covers to the Jinxworld Forums. One was the cover to Flash: Rebirth #5 which was also released through The Source. The other? Check it out:
EVS doesn’t say which issue the cover is for, but judging by the end of issue #2, it’s almost certainly the variant for Flash: Rebirth #3.
Update (May 11): DC has posted a slightly larger image at The Source, and confirmed that it’s the variant cover to Flash: Rebirth #3.
Bart doesn’t have the fancy boots – he’s in Wally’s old costume?
There’s been some discussion over at Comic Bloc where EVS has said he deliberately simplified the boots.
He’s still got the circle around the lightning bolt on his chest — another change from Wally’s version of the Kid Flash costume.
The first thing I noticed was the change to Bart’s awesome boots. Those things were so cool. Lame.
I like it. Looks like we’ll finally get some action in this book. Although that cover could be misleading.

Speedster Site’s West has confirmed it’s the one for #3 (the admins there talk to EVS on a semi-regular basis).

DAMN. I should have read this before I bought my #3. The variant cover looks way better.
