2009 DC Archives Survey is Up

The Comics Archives has posted their annual DC Archives Survey in which readers are asked to state what future collections they’d like to see. It’s not an official DC survey, but the surveyor does send the compiled information to DC.

If you’re at all interested in DC’s Archives line, or the new DC Classics Library line of hardcovers, you should seriously consider filling it out.

I put in my annual suggestion for more Golden Age Flash archives. Most of the run from 1942-1949 has never, ever been reprinted — not even the first appearances of the Thinker, Shade, Thorn or Turtle. The material that has appeared in the two archive volumes so far mainly has the Flash fighting gangsters. Super-villains haven’t even shown up yet!

I certainly put in my vote to hopefully “speed” up the creation of more Golden Age Flash Archives. I would also enjoy more Golden Age Green Lantern/Sandman/JSA All Stars as well. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Thanks Kelson for informing us about this, I didn’t have prior knowledge of this. Thanks to this post I was able to vote on my choices for what I think should be done.

Wow, I was just thinking about how I wish there was more golden age Flash archives. I didn’t know there was a survey. I was just going to write Bob Wayne a letter (is he even in charge of archives?)

It might be worth writing the letter too. It can’t hurt to put a name on the request.

(Note to self: find out who’s in charge of the Archives and write them a letter.)

get the archives up and running again, Cave Carson, Rip Hunter, Space Ranger, Get Action to fill in gap to meet up with superman , man of tomorrow , get the detective archives going . And last, get some superboy, more challengers, and some Jimmy Olsens Make them limited , then if they sell good , make more !!!

I think this comment is the best yet. Get those Achives back on track. I want to see action get into the issues between 150 and 225. I want to see space ranger and cave carson get archives and others like house of secrets and HOM, and strange adventues.
