I’m happy to hear the air of optimism in reflections on the character.

The greater focus on the crime lab and killers as well as threat of the villains as presented in Rebirth definitely suggests some darkness but what little glimpse we’ve had thus far seems like a very fun approach.

Hopefully we can get some occasional storylines of substance that don’t require death and destruction!

I love this whole paragraph, especially the last two sentences:

GJ: I think deep down we all want to be the best we can be. I find characters who acknowledge that and attempt to do that inspiring and relatable. Barry Allen is someone who has made a decision to help others during his own life and he made that decision even before he became the Flash. To me, that speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. The Flash moves ahead in life, despite the things that knock him down. That’s the hero I want to look up to and the hero that will inspire us all to be better people.

I am becoming depressed over how little I have been reading these excerpts. Although I have your blog in my RSS reader (and always will), I am spending less and less time reading through your posts. It’s absolutely nothing to do with you though. It’s to the contrary in everything that DC is doing to The Flash. My lifelong obsession is continuing to dwindle at an alarming rate!

Keep up the good work though, hopefully I’ll come around at some point!
