I say the guy that plays Green Arrow on Smallville – Justin Hartley for the role of Flash in a flick. He has the whole square jaw hero blonde look down. 😛

Fowler doesn’t think Flash’s rogues gallery is all that strong? Flash has the second best/most colorful rogues after Batman. And don’t pit Flash against Zoom in the first movie because then you lose the spectacle of seeing two speedsters fight at super-speed. You want to draw that feeling out for a later film.

    >I think its fair to say that Comics Daily aren’t big Wally West fans.

Ha. I’d honestly not really thought about it that much before writing the piece, but yeah, I guess I’ve never really warmed to him. Maybe I haven’t read enough ’90s-2000s era stuff with him in, though (aside from Morrison’s JLA) – my perception of him is largely based on his time in the New Teen Titans (where he was… a bit annoying and whiny) and his time immediately after taking over as the Flash (where he was… a bit annoying and whiny).

But really, the piece was meant to be less about my personal opinion of him (besides, although I prefer Barry, I was staunchly against the idea of bringing him back), and more about the problem DC have found themselves with having brought back someone to take his name and costume without a clear plan of what to do with him. Hence the light-hearted and, probably from the perspective of hardcore Flash Family fans such as yourselves ill-researched, look at what they might want to do instead
