The Flash TV series from 1990 is available at shopdcentertainment right now for just $8.99. That’s the full 22-episode season on DVD for a fraction of its usual price.
The series starred John Wesley Shipp as Barry Allen, and Amanda Pays as Dr. Tina McGee, his scientist partner-in-crimefighting. Notable villains included Mark Hamill as the Trickster (shortly before he went on to voice the Joker for Batman: The Animated Series), versions of Captain Cold and Mirror Master, and a 50s villain, The Ghost, who froze himself in suspended animation after a confrontation with Central City’s 1950s protector, the Nightshade.
