Captain Atom is taking his powers to new heights – saving people all across the world in the blink of an eye. But he’s not the only one who can move at super speed. Enter: The Flash! And when their paths cross, don’t expect them to share the secret hero’s handshake – because Captain Atom may be a bigger threat than any villain.

This striking tale combines comic-book illustration and prose to follow Barry Allen from his humble childhood to his noble death, detailing his transformation from police scientist to one of the DC Universe’s most dynamic heroes.

Note: It’s worth considering that the structure of this book hinges on the Barry/Iris relationship and marriage. Just a thought.

My jaw is hitting my keyboard (interesting way to type, I’ tell you) seeing the name ‘Mark Waid’ along with ‘DC Presents’ and an upcoming date.

Dare I hope they’ll one day print all the Waid stories?

Kyer, I was thrilled to see some Mark Waid Flash made digital this weekend on the DC Comics app! I definitely bought a few and rated them 5 stars!

Wasn’t Life Story supposed to be the secret Flash project Waid and Weiringo were hinted to be working on all those years ago?

I strongly recommend this book to any and all. The book has been hard to find in hardcover and trade paperback over the past several years, so this would be a great chance for you to read this story from the perspective of Iris Allen. Both art and story are amongst the best DC has produced.

And, I agree, a hardcover reprint collection of Mark Waid’s run on Flash would be tremendous! Count me in!

A 1/200 variant for Flash #3??? I am so glad I decided to only read Flash in hardcover after the reboot.

Agreed on the recommendation for Life Story. But I don’t get the issue with the variant. Why does the fact that it exists affect your ability or decision to buy the regular book?

Kid Flash should also be in Young Justice as usual.

The “Chase” TPB will have the 6 page Flash/Cameron Chase team-up from Flash Secret Files #3.
