I’m really loving the sound of “Flash family Christmas” in that holiday special. Fingers crossed that we’ll see the return of some long-missed characters!
There are a lot of popular Rebirth characters getting sidelined for the upcoming event. It really uncuts the importance of Rebirth in a super obvious way, but leave it to DC. He’ll appear again. If he gets another tease at a swan song during the Watchmen Mega-event, then I’ll worry. Now I’ll just be aggravated if I can’t read about him in current comics.
Another one to add to the ongoing collection of Dead Flash covers…
I’m really intrigued by the Shade storyline. I like the idea that they have to team up with him, and while I’m not sure Barry’s encountered him in the current DCU, there’s a lot of potential with the character.
Same here. I just hope Williamson’s read a lot of Robinson’s Shade and will be continuing that definitive characterization, because I’d hate to see him ruined. It’s safe to say that’s the most popular interpretation in the Shade’s history, and most would argue it’s also the best.
I don’t think it’s very likely that Wally is gone by the end of issue 6. It seems pretty obvious to me that they are playing the whole Linda remembers last minute and pulls him back game. If you were going to bring back their relationship, I think you’d need a moment like this, it’s sort of their thing at this point.
Yeah, I think you’re probably on to something there. Besides, I’d find it hard to believe that they brought him back to great fanfare and such an important plot point only to sideline him.
that’s a very good point. Ever since Terminal Velocity, getting stuck or displaced in time through the speed Force has been Wally’s gimmick. (dude should get frequent travel miles for it at this point!)
