DC has posted an image of Tony Harris’ alternate cover for The Flash #1, coming April 14.
Interestingly, it was a tweet by the artist that first alerted this site to the Flash Secret Files and Origins book coming out in two weeks.

Very nice colors on the costume. Tony Harris does the main part of the costume very well, but the mask looks a little silly.
Overall looks nice, but the complete lack of any shading/detail on the Flash logo makes it look awkward/out-of-place/copy-pasted on.
I’ll be happily sticking with the Manapul cover.

As a comic image on its own – perhaps as out-of-context art – I’m fine with it.
As a Flash cover, it doesn’t do it for me.

Another miss.
I like the return of the forensics side to the Flash, and the tiles on this cover that push that. Even with Wally, it just felt right to me when the Flash ‘out of costume’ worked alongside the city’s finest.
As for the rest of the cover, I’m sorry I’m just hoping for option a. It’s been my wallpaper for what feels like ages now, and each time I see it it I just think ‘Wow’.

It’s a fantastic piece of art and I’m really digging it from that angle but as mentioned previously I’m just not buying it as a Flash cover. I would buy a poster of it and hang it on my wall though.

I like it. I’m a big fan of Harris anyway so I might be biased.
Why is Barry sticking his tongue out in that cover? He looks either bored or tired.
That’s just his bottom lip.

Saw it.
Bought it.
Love it.
The sketch cover is nice too. Cost $35, but I’m weird when it comes to all things Flash…
