Oh, neat! Who is the tiger in the cover picture?
That’s Koj, from Tellos, a fantasy series Wieringo co-created with Todd Dezago around 2000 or so. The original storyline ran for about 10 issues, and they did some one-shots and a miniseries over the next couple of years.
He’s very well done. I like that kind of pen & ink work.
Excellent book, with a great interview spanning his life and career with plenty of extra art to peruse. (His gift portrait to Waid of Captain Marvel is stunning).
Need to check out Perez, Byrne, and Ordway next but Simonson’s book isn’t included in the sale?
According to the website, the Walter Simonson and Art Adams books are sold out. Though they do have digital editions still available for both.
Ah, that figures. But when it’s Simonson and Adams, I’m not that surprised. 😉
