Flash Television Series Gets Second Season

Good news: it was announced today at the Television Critics Association press tour that The Flash series has been renewed for its second season! Its parent show, Arrow, has also been renewed for a fourth season. Much of the cast and series’ showrunners are appearing at the event in Pasadena, so there are a lot of news and interviews going on this weekend.

In other news, the CW announced a new animated series starring Vixen, but with Flash and the Arrow as supporting characters. Apparently it will be set in the same universe as the two live-action shows.

What do you think of potential crossovers between the Vixen series and The Flash? And are you looking forward to the show’s second season?

I never thought Vixen was enough of a major player to warrant giving her her own show, but who knows. If it is anything like Flash and Arrow it might be good and I will try it out.

Vixen was a member of the JLA in the 1980s when it was based in Detroit, and in the middle of the post-Infinite Crisis/pre-Flashpoint League in the late 2000s. Plus the JLU cartoon.

I want to see Mirror Master. They haven’t announced him yet, have they? Maybe they could adapt Wonderland in season 2. All kinds of potential there.

No Mirror Master yet, no. One of the showrunners (Kreisberg, I think) did say they were saving one or two major villains for the second season, so it’s possible we’ll have to wait until then to see him.

I have heard concerns about how difficult Grodd will be to tackle logistically. The Mirror World can’t be an easy task by any stretch. I bet the character gets teased somewhere around the end of season 1.
