“The Sound and the Fury” Promo Clip

So, who watched tonight’s episode of The Flash? In case you missed the promo for next week’s episode, you can catch it here:

A few spoilers behind the jump.

So the Pied Piper debuts next week, and his parents had a cameo in this week’s episode, indicating that they don’t get along. I wonder if his parents will appear again, or what Piper will think of the Rogues robbing them. This is the first time Piper’s ever had dialogue in any media adaptation (or an appearance beyond a cameo), so it’ll be interesting to see how he’s handled.

I fell a little behind on things this week, but you still might enjoy these interviews with Dominic Purcell (Heat Wave) and Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold). They mostly talk about events which happened in this week’s episode. Entertainment Weekly and IGN both have pieces about the duo.

After watching last nights episode, I have a question. If Flash can just take blasts from both the heat gun and cold gun, why not just beast mode his way to Captain Cold/Heat Wave every time. Has there been a scenario in comic where he just took on the blasts? I would like to see it. Was Pied Piper the first openly gay comic character in DC?

Extrano debuted before Piper came out, but I’m not sure if it was explicitly stated he was gay (I’ve only read like one or two of his appearances). It was pretty freaking obvious, though. Piper may have been the first to actually state he was gay, however.

There have been a few stories in which Barry or Wally have been hit with both blasts at once, and it’s had differing effects depending on the story. Sometimes it was really painful and defeated him, but in one silly story it rapidly healed Barry’s injured leg. I’d imagine no one wants to make a habit of it, though.

Also, that’s the second uniform ruined, so only one more left right? I think they will make it more flash like the second time around. CAN I GET A PROPER SHADE OF RED AND YELLOW BOOTS…PLEASE (white background to the chest bolt but I’ll take lighter red).

I suspect that with the introduction of the ring , they will get rid of Ben Affleck’s hand me down costume from Daredeviul and go with a costume which is closer to how it’s historically been used and portrayed
