First Look At Legends of Tomorrow

Today we got our first trailer for the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow series, which will have 13 episodes and air in 2016. The promo does a pretty good job of introducing the characters and the premise, but it includes Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) among its cast, and will have at least a cameo from the Flash (Grant Gustin) and other Flashverse characters. One’s a surprise and you’ll see him in the trailer, but he’s still an obvious choice to appear. And we finally learn who the main villain will be.

Flashfans.org also has a behind-the-scenes featurette for the series, showing some of the stunts and including commentary from the showrunners. It’s made by the same creative team as The Flash and Arrow.

What do you think of the videos and premise? Are you thinking of checking out the show when it debuts?

About Lia

Lia is a Canadian fan of the Flashes and the Rogues. She's particularly interested in memorabilia of the Rogues and Reverse Flashes, collecting art, and memorizing a whole lot of pointless trivia. She may be the world's only diehard fan of the Top due to a love of hopeless causes, and she runs a fan blog on Tumblr, known as gorogues or The Rogues Kick Ass.

This looks awesome! This looks and sounds like it’s going to be the kind of show that I thought/hoped Agents of Shield was going to be right out the gate (i.e., having a show full of C-list/B-list superheroes on a mission.)

Yes! It looks like a winner! And I am glad to see Hawkgirl in it. She is my third favorite superhero after Flash and Supes.

So…Harrison Wells briefly appears in that promo. I wonder if it is from the actual show or from a the season finale of The Flash (which is possible since the promo has clips from both Arrow and Flash in addition to the Superhero Fight Club promo).

Glad to see that Caity Lotz is back. The show looks promising, I hope that they incorporate some of the more solid storytelling of Arrow.

I seem to recall reading that the CW Black Canary does not have the ‘canary cry’. Is that the case?
Am tempted to look into this if only for seeing ‘Rory’ piloting a time ship. 😀

She actually just got a canary cry, courtesy of Cisco Ramon. It’s a technical device, though, not a metahuman ability.
