Gearing Up For A New Season Of TV

As reported by Cartermatt.com, the CW has released a teaser synopsis for the first episode of The Flash‘s second season.

Following the defeat of Barry Allen’s arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash), Team Flash quickly turned their attention to the singularity swirling high above Central City, which fans last saw consuming everything in its path. Armed with the heart of a hero and the ability to move at super speeds, Barry charged into the eye of the singularity, but will he actually be able to save his city from impending doom?

The singularity will obviously play into the second season of the show in some way, and it’ll be interesting to find out how. We’ll have to wait until the season debuts on October 6th to find out what’s going to happen.

There are also a few new details about upcoming mid-season spin-off show Legends of Tomorrow. Entertainment Weekly suggests things might not go so smoothly for Captain Cold, Heat Wave, and their colleagues.

“They’re screwups,” Klemmer says. “Instead of tiptoeing through history, they’re plodding through it, leaving their footprints and fingerprints and constantly having to wonder whether they’re going to screw the future up rather than fix it… It’s going to be total madness.”

The link also has a look at some art for the series, which includes the Flash. Maybe he’ll be hanging around more often than we’d thought.

Are you looking forward to Season Two of The Flash? How about Legends of Tomorrow?

This Week: Season Zero, Silver Age Samuroids

Flash Season Zero #10 (print edition): “When an astronaut turned metahuman becomes obsessed with Caitlin Snow, The Flash must protect her from the confused monster wielding a powerful cosmic energy!”

Flash Season Zero Chapter 23 (digital edition) continues the early days of Leonard Snart and Mick Rory, the criminals who would one day become Captain Cold and Heat Wave.

The digital backlist skips ahead a bit to Flash #180-181, a two-parter in which the Flash visits Japan to help an old friend on a case and battles samurai robots.
