Jay was in there too? I’m going to have to re-read it — I didn’t remember him at all. And it’s only been a year or so since I’ve read it. (I finally picked the series up at last year’s Wizard World LA.)
I can’t believe they’re actually doing a JLA/Avengers trade! Shame it’ll probably be missing the appendix from the hardcover (which was more or less an Absolute Edition), but then the appendix would be really inaccurate considering all that’s happened in both universes…
And that’s one interesting JLA.

You can see him during the big fight in #4, knocking the Red Skull out of a window of one of Krona’s fortifications.
I just looked. If you’ve got the HC, he’s towards the bottom right on page 198.
I’ve got the individual issues. I think by the time I decided I was interested, the hardcover was out of print and expensive — but I found the original books for reasonable prices at a con.
