By now you’ve probably heard that the Justice League movie is back on, with Will Beall (Gangster Squad, Castle) as the screenwriter. The Variety article name-checks The Flash script by Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim (the Green Lantern film), but says nothing about its status. Basically, nothing has changed (as far as an outsider can tell) since 2010.
You can read up on the history of the film’s years in development hell at Flash: Those Who Ride the Lightning, or check out past articles here at Speed Force.
I’ve come to the conclusion that the closest thing we will ever see to a Flash movie is pictured above. Also, given the creation team and that DC is still favoring The Dark Side alongside the upheaval of DC52…I’m now not as enthused by a movie as I’d thought I’d be.
Ditto on Justice League.
Unless it’s LEGO Justice League. 🙂
I just hope they don’t ruin it with corny dialogue. (ahem, Green Lantern)
I could love such dialogue if it was The Rogues delivering the hashed corn.
Corny dialogues? What about the corny special effects, corny casting and corny story?
…yeah. That movie was such a missed opportunity…
I’ve come to think we ain’t ever gonna get a Flash movie (a solo one that is, at this point, with The Avengers success, I see more chances of a JLA or Batman/Superman movie than the Flash…)
And if it is Flash as a stand-alone movie it will possibly be something like “Nightmare in Central: Flash vs Freddy” you know, so it will be more like Batman in body count.
Oh….no.
Apparently, if they do a sequel to Green Lantern: The Movie, they want it to be “darker and edgier.” *facepalm*
Why don’t they just go ahead and attach Batcapes to every member of the Justice League, turn every Rogue into The Joker, and get it over with?
