New Flash Clip, And A New Villain

The CW posted some clips from this week’s Flash episode “The Nuclear Man”, along with some commentary from showrunner Andrew Kreisberg. They give a few details of what we’ll see in the episode, so consider it spoilery.

More behind the jump.

It’s also been announced that Emily Kinney (best known for The Walking Dead) has been cast as the gender-swapped Bug-Eyed Bandit. She’ll appear in Episode 18 of The Flash, and is a rival hacker of Felicity Smoak. And don’t forget that Felicity herself and Ray Palmer will be in that episode as well. Sounds like it’ll be busy!

Hands up: who could have guessed we’d be seeing the Bug-Eyed Bandit in any form?

About Lia

Lia is a Canadian fan of the Flashes and the Rogues. She's particularly interested in memorabilia of the Rogues and Reverse Flashes, collecting art, and memorizing a whole lot of pointless trivia. She may be the world's only diehard fan of the Top due to a love of hopeless causes, and she runs a fan blog on Tumblr, known as gorogues or The Rogues Kick Ass.

Yeah, I think he’ll show up eventually…whether he’ll spin and/or be called the Top is another matter. And he’ll probably debut next season, not this one.

My secret fear is that we’ll get Turbine but not him, though :\

I think DC has abandoned Turbine. Was he even around during the Forever Evil story? I haven’t seen him in comics since the first appearance early in Nu52.

No, Turbine hasn’t been seen since Gorilla Warfare. That doesn’t mean he won’t appear in the show, though.

Part of the problem is that the Top is remarkably unpopular even amongst creators (Dan DiDio likes him, at least), so he doesn’t have the draw that other Rogues have.

Isn’t time travel coming up in a episode soon…either this one or the next? Go back in time and change the uniform PLEASE. LOL it is not that bad, but I think lighter red looks soooooooo much better…and CAN A FAN GET SOME G**D**N YELLOW BOOTS!!!

I wouldn’t count out the Top either. Venditti and Jensen have already retconned Barry’s uniform away from the metal armor-plate that Manapul and Buccellato introduced (and explained in FLASH #0), and we already have a non-meta Captain Cold back in continuity. Keep your fingers crossed…

There was a time I would have jumped at the chance to have back in the New 52, but I’ve been burned so badly I don’t even want him there anymore. He wouldn’t be recognizable as a character any longer (Turbine’s already taken much of his character beats) and he might get his head stuck on a pike :\ But I still hold out hope for the TV series.
