Force Quest: Always listen to the speedster turtle, Barry!

Heroes in Crisis: I am so, so tired of “Somebody dies!” in shared universes. If you make it stick, you’re taking possibilities away from people who might want to use that character. If you don’t make it stick, it gets to the point where it loses its punch.

DC Nuclear Winter Special: Needs a Jackie Chan meme. And to be read while listening to Weird Al’s “Christmas at Ground Zero.”

But mostly it needs that Jackie Chan meme.

I think the Heroes In Crisis story is going to leave a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths. It’s confirmed that there’s going to be a massacre, so that’s going to piss people off, and DiDio/DC couldn’t resist tweaking Flash fans at SDCC with teases that Wally’s going to die in it. I don’t necessarily think he’s going to die — we all know that kind of promotional hyperbole — but it’s still tiresome to hear it. And it’s a bit worrying that the Flash on this cover is clearly Barry and not Wally, so the possibility is definitely there.

And speedster turtles are the wisest of all 🙂

It would actually work better if Wally didn’t die. In fact, If Wally wasn’t even on-site in the first place.

    light spoiler:

Booster Gold is a suspect for some gawdforsaken reason
(I say light spoiler because it was shown in the first issue of DC Nation (Direct Currents)

Now, here’s my theory as to why Wally should live and how it would serve to implicate Booster rather than clear him.
Booster and Wally were friends in the League during the international days. (at least until Wally slipped on a drink and tore through Booster’s new sports car like a buzzsaw through tinfoil) Somehow Booster is involved in Wally doing something away from Sanctuary. (maybe Linda somehow remembered everything after seeing Wally’s statue in front of the Flash museum or maybe Bart finally made his return known….whatever! The point is, that Booster would get Wally out of harm’s way in a manner that is super suspicious timing wise. This of course would be seen by Batman as probable cause and since Wally would not have been a witness, he could not swear positively to Booster’s innocence

that’s strange! It’s not there anymore. I seem to recall a whole big article in issue 1 of DC nation on HiC but now it’s not there. there is an article in #3 but I could have sworn there was one in #1 as well.

The alleged spoilers that have been recently leaked (or possibly made up) for Wally in Heroes in Crisis have been pretty crazy and sometimes contradictory…and are probably going to piss off his fans, to be honest. But on the plus side, if they’re true it seems he won’t die. We will see.
