The Hollywood Reporter announced today that the upcoming season of The Flash TV series on the CW will be its finale. The last season will consist of only thirteen episodes, which is notably shorter than previous seasons. Presumably the intent is to allow the series to wrap up gracefully, rather than hurry to a rushed conclusion or draw things out for too long, so this schedule will probably be ideal for the show.
The final season begins production next month.
