Here’s the extended teaser for next week’s episode of The Flash, titled “Invincible”. It’s the second-last episode of the season, so obviously Zoom and his plans are coming to a head. And there’ll be a special guest star from Earth-2, who can be seen in the trailer.

The CW has released the official synopsis for the last episode of the season, titled “The Race Of His Life”. I’ll get to that in a moment (it’s behind the cut for spoiler reasons), but there are a couple of news tidbits first.
IGN reports that Kevin Smith will direct another Flash episode in season 3. His first episode will air next week, and the cast and crew were reportedly energized by his presence on set.
The Hollywood Reporter talks with Flash visual effects supervisor Armen Kevorkian about doing twenty-three effects-heavy episodes per season. He discusses a bit about CGI characters such as Grodd and King Shark, as well as some of the ways they differentiated Flash and Zoom’s speed effects.
