Flash #2 Variant Cover by Greg Capullo

Category: Covers — By @ 12:00 pm

Robot 6 spotted the cover in, of all places, the Wall Street Journal’s article on DC Comics’ 52-issue sellout. The CBR blog notes that artist Greg Capullo (Batman) is also providing variant covers for Green Lantern #1, Justice League #3 and Action Comics #4.

The Flash #1 goes on sale tomorrow. The Flash #2 arrives on October 26.

I think I love that speedometer.

    No chin strap!!! (fingers crossed)

As much as I agree with you on whether the chin strap should be there, I figure it’s just like the V-belt we saw on some of the variants for the last series: a design change that the guest artist missed.

I wondered if I was seeing things with that ‘OMG’…

  4. Savitar says:

Seriously? Does DC not produce posters anymore?

Say what you will about this relaunch, about it being Barry, but these cover shots are worthy of being posters. This image is splendid.

I guess I’m the only one who’s unimpressed. The excessive and oddly angled lightning effects are…unappealing, to me. His face looks too Jay Leno-inspired and the cool speedometer seems out-of-place, under his feet.
