This Week: Jesse, Jay and Bart in JLA and Teen Titans (Plus Outrun, the Blur and Sonic)

There’s no Flash this week, but there are several other comics where you can get a speedster fix:

  • Justice League of America #48 continues the JLA/JSA crossover, and features Jesse Quick and original Flash Jay Garrick.
  • Teen Titans #86 features Kid Flash Bart Allen.
  • Guarding the Globe #1 (Image) features the debut of a new speedster, Outrun.
  • Supreme Power: Contact (TPB Reprint, Marvel) reprints the first six issues of JMS’ Supreme Power, re-launching the characters who would join forces as the Squadron Supreme, including the Blur.
  • Sonic the Hedgehog #216 (Archie), featuring…Sonic the Hedgehog. (Currently the longest-running comic book series about a speedster, by numbering.)

What’s more, I think that Sonic is, the second longest running comic (monthly-periodically non-stopping Guinnes Record,)or even the only one, ever, next to Archie or something like that, cause Detective Comics, Amazing Spider-Man, etc, (#800, #600, etc) somewhere in time stopped their publication for relaunch, some major event in their fictitional universe, etc, etc, etc.

I’m starting to get irritated. Since Flash Rebirth Wally is all but gone(assuming I didn’t miss anything). What the hell, is it impossible to get us just a little Wally fix? I’m not saying I’m not happy with Barry’s run (heh. I know too easy) but at least throw us a bone every once in a while! I mean if Jesse can get so much face time at least give us something!
Ok, I’m done ranting, I just miss Wally.

Me too. But he does have a one-page cameo in Batman #702 this week (it’s a flashback).

And he had a bigger cameo in Magog a few weeks ago.

Magog was good but not really anything amazing, but you could take a flip-through look in the store.

But I think all of Morrison’s Batman stuff has been amazing, so I’d recommend that anyway.

Thanks Jesse I appreciate the heads up and I already had planned to grab the new Bats. After the whole giant god Gog walking around I lost interest in Magog so I had no clue about Wally showing up there.
