It’s not listed on DC’s website, but Diamond Comics reports that this week it will ship the The Flash #1 second printing announced last month. Curious readers who missed the start of the relaunch can pick it up, along with those who collect alternate covers — since it’s almost certain to have a different cover than the original printing, even if it’s a banner or frame like the What’s Next? series.

The Hourman & Liberty Belle backup feature continues in JSA All-Stars #9.
Fans of the Bronze Age Flash may be interested in the first issue of Cary Bates’ alternate reality story, Superman: The Last Family of Krypton.
As for other speedsters, there’s a new Sonic the Hedgehog issue. At #215, it’s fast-approaching a tie with either Barry Allen’s or Wally West’s series for longevity.
You realize that due to how you worded this, I’m now wondering if Wally is going to appear in the Krypton Elseworlds title?
Dang it. Here was an avenue they could have used to soothe us Wally fans a bit rather than “maybe/if we still feel like it later on” Speedforce announcements: Elseworlds. We could have had Wally stories without upsetting the Barry story plot.
Huh? Where did I imply anything about Wally in that wording?
“Fans of the Bronze Age Flash may be interested in…”
Kind of implies “because he may have a cameo..” or something. Or it could just be me being hopeful because I am bored to tears right now. You got my hopes up–damn it! 😛
The Bronze Age was roughly 1970-1985, so the Bronze Age Flash was Barry Allen…but the series was written by Cary Bates the entire time.
Bates hasn’t worked with DC since around 1990 (or in comics at all until his 2008 Marvel mini, True Believers), so it seemed worth pointing out his return. I went into the details a bit when the series was announced, so I guess I figured I didn’t need to go over it again.
