I remember Jay Faerber from his run on the short-lived New Warriors relaunch from 1999 to 2000. Was nowhere near as good as when Nicieza was on the title but still not terrible. I’m going to have to check out Noble Causes.
Saw some pretty good deals on Amazon. Would you recommend the Noble Causes Archives or should I go for the gusto and track down some trades instead?
Dunno…The archvies are good because you get the whole series in two cheap volumes (for those following along, they’re basically the same format as DC’s Showcase Presents books), but then you don’t get the coloring or the good paper. On the downside, there are two longer specials (“Extended Family,” featuring stories by guest creative teams) that IIRC aren’t collected in the trades, but probably are in the archives.
I guess I’d suggest getting either the first two trades or the first archive to begin with?
