I know the original Bleeding Cool link says the variant cover will be done by “Eric Basalda”, but I think they mean Eric Basaldua (there doesn’t seem to be an artist by the first name). And I have to confess I’m kind of weirded out by that if it’s true, because he’s best known for his cheesecake art, including some fairly pornographic stuff.
Just looked him up. Top Cow, Zenescope, and…WTF is that?
Yeah, odd choice, but it seems he’s done some more traditional superhero stuff too.
If you have a ComicArtFans account, a lot of his risque commissions get posted there (you’ll probably need an account because adult stuff can’t generally be seen without one). As a CAF member I get a newsletter each week which lists the site’s recent most-viewed pieces, and a lot of his smutty stuff shows up there.
While Scott Beatty might have gotten something out of Wally’s Therapy session, I never did. I say this in part because the story felt clunky for a retelling. Sure it could be viewed as leading into the Return of Barry Allen concept, but otherwise it just doesn’t work. Main problem was the therapist seemed bad at his job.
If it’s the same therapist as before he is AWFUL at his job.
Did you note someplace else on the site that there is a new Flash statue coming in April 11? JL: Heroes & Foes Series 1: Flash. (Yes, it’s a Barry again.)
Forgot to mention this is Barry in his old costume and not the new one…like we needed another of these, right?
In addition…the Casstoons with Barry Allen over at Scans-Daily is brilliant. In a “I wanna smack someone” sort of way because, yes DC, I never held even the slightest grudge against the character until Flashpoint.
