“Legends of Tomorrow” Officially Picked Up

The new CW series which spins out of The Flash and Arrow will apparently be titled “Legends of Tomorrow” and has been officially ordered by the network despite not yet having a pilot episode. It will have the same showrunners as its parent shows, and will include Flash characters Captain Cold and Heat Wave (and Martin Stein) amongst the characters. The Hollywood Reporter has more details.

The series’ formal logline:

“When heroes alone are not enough … the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?”

I’m cautiously optimistic about this, and definitely want to see more Cold and Heat Wave. So I’m looking forward to it right now. How about everyone else?

About Lia

Lia is a Canadian fan of the Flashes and the Rogues. She's particularly interested in memorabilia of the Rogues and Reverse Flashes, collecting art, and memorizing a whole lot of pointless trivia. She may be the world's only diehard fan of the Top due to a love of hopeless causes, and she runs a fan blog on Tumblr, known as gorogues or The Rogues Kick Ass.

I’m looking forward to the expansion of the DC TV universe. It is on the CW so it makes me kind of cringe when I see previews for “Reign” or “Vampire Diaries”. DC’s strength has been its deep roster of rich characters. I am a bit worried about over expanding, but I will definitely watch it. Who does everyone want to see? I would like to see a version of Wally in a Titans type deal. Multiverse has to come up at some point so Jay would be cool too. (has there been any elusion in the shows I missed). Who is going to have the chops to bring Martian Manhunter to live action?
