TV Bits And Links

tumblr_nuiti7odg81uv4crqo1_1280 The season premiere is less than a month away, and details about the upcoming season of The Flash are now trickling out regularly. Here are some links with recent news about the show and its characters, and you can also see our first look at the costumes for Hawkgirl and Hawkman. She’ll be a regular character in the upcoming series Legends of Tomorrow (which began filming this week, with Captain Cold and Heat Wave), and both will appear first in The Flash. See more behind the jump, including potential spoilers.

Entertainment Weekly has a piece on the new major characters for second season, including Patty Spivot and the speedsters (good and bad). Check it out for Andrew Kreisberg’s comments on what we’ll see with each person.

Even faster than the Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh), this season’s big bad isn’t a repeat of last year. “We wanted another speedster as a villain, but we wanted to do something slightly different,” Kreisberg says. “Reverse Flash felt like a warrior, and what we wanted this time was something more akin to a monster. When you finally see Zoom, he looks like a demon, and it’s really scary. It’s more horrific. You should feel like when one of H.R. Giger’s aliens comes in the room. The mask is really amazing.”

TV Line has a few spoilers on what we’ll be seeing this season regarding Harrison Wells and the members of Team Flash.

Some of the cast members appeared at Dragon*Con last weekend, and talked a bit about the upcoming season; ComicBook.com reported on comments from Candice Patton and Danielle Panabaker. Patton talked about Iris’ role in the second season, noting that information about Iris becoming a leader of Team Flash has been exaggerated. (If you visit the link, there’s a video of the panel available.)

And Panabaker spoke about Killer Frost and the six-month time skip we’ll be seeing after the season finale.

It was also announced at Dragon*Con that actress Vanessa Williams has been cast as Iris’ mother. One wonders if we’ll be seeing her in the present or in flashbacks. Perhaps in conjunction with the debut of Wally West..?

That’s all for today! Hope you’re enjoying these snippets of information!
