Mid-Season Finale Synopsis

The CW has released the official synopsis for the last episode of 2015, titled “Running To Stand Still”. It will air on December 8th. And if you check it out, it features the debut of a major character and the return of some others.

Spoilers behind the jump.

“Running to Stand Still” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

MARK HAMILL, WENTWORTH MILLER AND LIAM MCINTYRE RETURN; KEIYNAN LONSDALE JOINS THE CAST AS WALLY WEST — When Mark Mardon AKA The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) returns to break Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) and James Jesse AKA The Trickster (guest star Mark Hamill) out of Iron Heights, Barry (Grant Gustin) must stop these rogues from taking over Central City during Christmas. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) meet Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale). Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode written by Andrew Kreisberg (#209). Original airdate 12/8/2015

So, we finally get the debut of Wally West, and the return of the original Trickster and Weather Wizard. Wally will seemingly be joining the cast as a recurring character, although we don’t know yet how often he’ll be appearing.

It’s also great to see a new team-up of Rogues! We’ve been seeing the trio of the Snarts and Heat Wave for a while, so it’s nice to see two Rogues without prior ties working together. And also interesting that Weather Wizard does seem to feel like he owes Cold for freeing him last season, and is now returning the favour.

So, who’s looking forward to the episode? What do you hope to see in it?

I am more interested in seeing the family dynamics of the Wests than Wally meeting Barry. And i kind of hope he already has secret powers.
