I’m glad they are including greater stakes for time travel. I’d like them to really have to make a choice on whether to use time travel or not. After the Flash / Arrow cross over, I’ve been concerned that time travel will be the easy / lazy out.
Yeah, pretty much everyone immediately noticed the similarities between the time wraiths and the Black Flash, so it’ll be interesting to see what they’re about. I do love the way Tom Cavanagh has managed to re-channel Eobard in that scene, so I’m really looking forward to it.
And agreed: I’m glad they’re showing consequences for time travel because it really could become the easy way out in the CWverse, especially with Legends time-hopping all over the place.
I think time travel works best when it’s either very difficult, so any reset button has to be earned, or a fundamental part of the series, like Doctor Who. Babylon 5 did a good job of the former, I thought: There was exactly one instance of time travel in history, it took a machine the size of a planet to do it, and we got to see it from several different perspectives over the course of the show.

Would love to see Hartley and Wally become BFFs somewhere down the line, just like in comics.
