The CW has released the official synopsis for the fourth episode of The Flash, titled “The New Rogues”. It’s due to air on October 25th, and will introduce some new villains as well as the return of an old one. Spoilers ahoy!

WENTWORTH MILLER RETURNS AS CAPTAIN COLD; MIRROR MASTER AND THE TOP BATTLE WITH THE FLASH — Barry (Grant Gustin) continues to train Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) and when a new meta human, Mirror Master (guest star Grey Damon), appears on the scene he lets her tag along. Mirror Master has teamed up with his old partner, Top (guest star Ashley Rickards), and is looking for Snart (Wentworth Miller) to even a score. Jesse is quick to join the chase but defies one of Barry’s orders which results in disastrous consequences. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Benjamin Raab & Deric A. Hughes (#304). So they are pulling the trigger on Jesse’s superpowers but not Wally yet? Weird. I got the sense that they would do that last season, though. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to have Jessie playing an active role, but the TV Wally is beginning to suffer the same fate as the younger comic book Wally. They are teasing and building things up with science experiments and alternate versions who are gone in a flash, but with any real payoff constantly being kicked down the field. And just like with comic book Wally, that gun-shy writing style will kill the character’s buzz. Is it going to be a Season 4 thing now? After the show begins winding down like Arrow did?
I have been waiting since episode one season one for this moment! Mirror Master and Captain Cold on the same screen fighting the Flash. Then they throw in the Top! If seven year old me could be here right now, his head would explode!
