“The Trial of the Flash” Episode Synopsis

The CW has released the official synopsis for The Flash‘s mid-season premiere, which is titled “The Trial of the Flash” (they saw the opportunity, and they ran with it.) The episode is due to air on January 16th, 2018.

“The Trial of the Flash” – (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET)
BARRY FIGHTS FOR HIS LIFE — As Barry’s (Grant Gustin) trial for the murder of Clifford DeVoe begins, Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) must decide how far they are willing to go to keep Barry out of prison. Philip Chipera directed the episode written by Lauren Certo & Kristen Kim (#410). Original airdate 1/16/2018.

A Very Cold Day, Indeed – Review of THE FLASH #37

Now we know who is really in charge of the underworld in Central City…and where they are hiding out. More than that, there is someone who knows all of Barry’s secrets and is willing to sell him out. What we don’t know is how…and what else may be hiding within the walls of the supposedly impenetrable walls of Iron Heights. Catching up on the Murder in Iron Heights – Review of THE FLASH #36

Lego DC Super-Heroes: The Flash Trailer

There’s going to be a new direct-to-video DC Lego movie out in February, and this one will focus on the Flash. Titled Lego DC Super-Heroes: The Flash, it will feature an adventure with Barry Allen and Professor Zoom, as well as the rest of the Justice League. The movie will be released digitally on February 6th 2018, and be out on DVD and Blu-Ray on March 13th. You can check out the trailer below.

As you can see, there are a lot of Flash-related trades out that month. And the two Silver Age trades are using placeholder images for their covers, as the solicits don’t show their purported Evan ‘Doc’ Shaner art. Shaner has been posting drawings of Silver Age Flash on social media lately, so presumably that’s a taste of what the final covers will be.
