I’ve been reading comics for over 60 years (and yes, I am really that old)…but I don’t know that I have EVER been affected as much as I was at the end of this issue. This ending hit me where I live. No, I’m not going to spoil the ending – only mild spoilers for you today. But if you wanna know a little more? Follow us after the jump!

The hunt is on for Grodd! The Rogues have been sent on a mission to bring Grodd in…dead or alive! They find out where Grodd is, that’s easy enough. But, it appears (at least at first) that Grodd is controlling everyone on base and sending them after the Rogues! Worse yet, that same force takes over every Rogue except for…
Flash and Linda are now dealing with Trickster, who has trapped Grodd and is prepared to end his life, thinking that Grodd is at fault for everything that’s going on. But, Wally knows what is really happening here. It’s not Grodd who has been controlling everyone. Enter, Grodd’s dad!
Grodd’s dad is somewhat a green version of the Grodd we’ve seen in the prime DC universe, and he appears to be just as powerful. He believes there are no good humans, and given what’s been happening to Grodd, can you blame him? Every effort Wally is making to convince him otherwise is not working, and things are looking bleak.
Grodd steps in, and convinces his dad to stand down…and that’s as far as I’m going to go for this issue. You’ll have to read it for yourself – it’s more than worth the read!
NOTES:
- Wally “unlocks” powers in this issue, including speed healing.
- Wally is gaining more and more understanding and control over his powers, though it appears there is still more to discover – that’s for future issues
- The artwork is still SO amazing!
- Jeff Lemire has brought SO much emotional impact into this series, never more so than in this issue. I’m floored!
SUMMARY:
