DC has announced the next wave of the New 52, to launch with the new Justice League of America series. Also launching are Katana, spinning out of Birds of Prey, and Justice League of America’s Vibe.
And with a premiere issue being co-plotted by Geoff Johns, JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA’S VIBE will come to you from the creative team of writer Andrew Kreisberg (ARROW) and artist Pete Woods (LEGION LOST).
I have two words: Called it.
Update: MTV Geek has a statement by regular writer Andrew Kreisberg…who turns out to be the writer of the Justice League Unlimited episode, “The Greatest Story Never Told.”
All I can say to that is, “Thank you, Green Lantern!”

That is not really unexpected at the new DC. There is a clear dictate to increase the diversity of DC’s heroes, especially in mass media like television. Vibe being one of the few Hispanic heroes was a natural choice.
They’d have better chances with a new Gangbuster ongoing series. Vibe is a ridicoulous as Fez, but without the self-awareness.
Seems like a new wave of future cancellations to me.

Honestly, I’m more curious to know what they’ve been doing with Jay Garrick since the last I paid attention to that book Alan’s fiance bit the big one….and Jay is in my top 5 favorite characters of the DCU.
And people wonder why Marvel fanboys laugh at DC so much.
When I saw this news Vibe:Rebirth was the first thing I thought of.
