DC Comics has released a preview of Flash #21 through Uproxx. Part 2 of “Reversed” features the first meeting of Flash (Barry Allen) and Kid Flash (Bart Allen) in the New 52 continuity. The Flash knows someone’s been killing people touched by the Speed Force, but doesn’t know who…so he starts with the only other speedster he knows about.
Unfortunately, the splash pages are shrunken down to a fairly narrow column, so it’s virtually impossible to read any of the narration boxes, but you can get a good sense of the art.
The Flash #21 by Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato comes out next week.
No disrespect intended (I actually like the cover what with Bart’s eyes looking white rather than red and ignoring the very idea of Barry trying to strangle Bart–even if the DC52 versions)…. That line is just ripe for making jokes. I won’t do so here or elsewhere, but I can already see them appearing on forums now and forever more.
Flash is classy.
Some time ago I nixed the idea of getting DC52 Flash books (or any DC books) due to the increased level of violence.
My apologies.
Having just been subjected to back to back episodes of something called NCIS I now realize why people give me odd looks when I complained about severed fingers and ripped off arms. I’m behind the times. Those kinds of violence really are ‘mild’ in comparison to what is being trotted out these days as ‘average level mayhem’.
Unfortunately, I’m a product of my upbringing and still feel really uncomfortable with such scenes. (I looked down more than at the screen during NCIS despite liking Mark Hamon from an earlier series he was in. Going to stick with the old fogey’s movie channel from here on out.)
Bill, Flash is classy, but are the fans? 😛
Yep. I can believe Barry is a fan of the classics. 😛
