If Music Meister wasn’t tough enough, we’re getting to meet the CEO behind the new app Symphonee that seems to be taking over the world. Our speedsters may be in over their heads. Everything seems to be lining up against them as more and more things are going wrong. What can they do? Even with the help of good friends, will that be enough? What twists await them? SPOILERS AHEAD!
Michael Holt is finding it difficult to stay in the moment and enjoy each day as it comes along. Work is what fulfills him and gives him joy. At least, that’s what he thinks. That will be put to the test by the end of this issue. Meanwhile, the mystery continues as another scientist suddenly disappears, leaving an intern (Cadence) afraid her hours for school credit are also going up in smoke. To investigate this further our speedsters split up…which may not be the best strategy considering what’s coming up next.
In short order, Kid Flash has been left out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, while Avery, Cadence and Mister Terrific dodging the most unexpected of foes…the T-Spheres have been hacked!
Meanwhile we find Más y Menos, beefed up and now working for Symphonee. They are at the reveal of the mystery company’s CEO…and no, it isn’t Music Meister. They all work for…
The Fiddler!
Yes Isaac Bowin is behind this…and it all makes sense. Symphonee is taking over people – and apparently a lot of tech as well. This does not look good at all for the home team…but we’ll have to wait for next issue to see what’s coming next.
NOTES:
- I loved Wallace’s reaction to the Fortress of Solitude as he and Connor visited. I also absolutely loved Kelex’s sass.
- I think I’ve said this before – but it’s wonderful to see Wallace and Avery get some time to shine here in a FLASH Family series. It’s long past time to see more than one FLASH related series on the shelves of our favorite comic shops.
- The plot has definitely picked up in this second issue. There’s a LOT going on – but it’s handled in a way that is still easy to follow for us readers. This is shaping up as a great mini-series..I only wish this series and Jay’s series were ongoing.
- The artwork was already good and seems to be even better in issue 2. It fits the energy of the story perfectly, and I’m enjoying every page.
SUMMARY:
Things are picking up in issue #2 after a good start from the premiere. I’ll give this one a 9/10 – of course, that’s just my opinion. What do YOU think? Leave your comments below!
