Australian TV Clip Hints At Something New
The Australian TV network Fox 8 has produced a short teaser for the second season of The Flash, and it shows us a seemingly new aspect of Barry Allen’s powers. You can see the video clip and some analysis of it at Movieweb‘s site.
Presumably the energies of the singularity caused this change in Barry’s lightning, and one wonders what else it changed for him and the other characters. What do you think?
Jesse Quick Cast for Flash Season 2
CW has cast another speedster: Violett Beane will play Jesse Quick. According to TV Line:
Jesse — who will appear in multiple episodes of the CW smash — is characterized as a brilliant but quirky college student who gets caught up in the battle between The Flash and Season 2 Big Bad (the not-yet-cast) Zoom.
Jesse Quick was introduced in the early 1990s Justice Society of America series as the daughter of golden-age heroes Liberty Belle and Johnny Quick (not to be confused with the Crime Syndicate villain of the same name). When her parents split up, she followed her father’s legacy, using his super-speed formula as a hero and taking over his business when he died. She became a recurring guest in the Flash comics. She eventually reconciled with her mother, and when she temporarily lost her speed, she took on the Liberty Belle persona for a while. She has yet to be seen in the New 52/DC You, though a version of her did appear in the Ame-Comi Girls digital-first series a few years back.

Flash Still From Season Two
The CW has released the first official still image (click to enlarge) from season two of The Flash, which seems to show Team Flash reacting to something at S.T.A.R. Labs, although we can only guess at what. There are also a few details about how the upcoming season will be different from the first, as noted at TV Insider:
The gang’s all here — or are they? — as The Flash races into Season 2 on the heels of that crazy black hole that threatened to erase Central City. “We pick up about six months later, and we’re going to piece together how the storm has affected everyone,” says Grant Gustin (Barry, center), here facing an uninvited guest with S.T.A.R. Labs buds Joe (Jesse L. Martin), Iris (Candice Patton), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Dr. Stein (Victor Garber) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes). How wild is the world now that Barry has stopped the Reverse-Flash and rewritten history? Says Gustin: “It’s not as different as you’d think, but as we move forward, some things will blow fans’ minds.”
The season premiere is on October 6th. What do you think might be different this season?
