This Week: Earth 2, Forever Evil, Impulse

Flash comics out this week:

EARTH 2 #17 seems to really be focusing on Superman and Batman these days.

Forever Evil #3 may or may not involve the Flash, but is likely to feature Johnny Quick.

Digital backissues have been focusing on Impulse lately. It’s been a month since the last Flash issue was added. I’m hoping that DC will actually finish reissuing the Dark Flash Saga. There’s some room for doubt, since they actually skipped the last few parts of Race Against Time. Maybe they’re pushing to wrap Impulse completely (it ends with #89), then go back to the Flash each week?

Anyway, Impulse #82 hits, with Bart’s school becoming infested with monsters projected by a troubled classmate.

This Week: Teen Titans Annual, Impulse meets…Captain Saturn?

Teen Titans Annual 2
Leading into next month’s landmark issue #25, the Teen Titans continue their trip through time as the team must confront Jon Lane Kent, the Superboy of the future, who could one day wipe out the most powerful heroes on Earth. Can the Titan’s Superboy defeat the man he was cloned from by Harvest?
Scott Lobdell, Angel Unzueta, Art Thibert; Cover by Eddy Barrows, Eber Ferreira

And in digital backissues (ComiXology etc):

Impulse #81
“Dan Coyote:The Man of La Jolla”
In this stand-alone issue from the “Full Coverage” event, Impulse meets the delusional Dan Coyote, an ordinary man convinced that he is the superhero Captain Saturn, and that Impulse is his sidekick Snacky.
Todd Dezago, Carlo Barberi, Juan Vlasco

Impulse #81

This Week: Reverse Flash Conclusion, Teen Titans Lost in Time

Flash comics out this week:

The Flash #24 by Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato

Barry’s battle against the Reverse-Flash ends with major revelations and The Flash facing an impossible challenge! Preview at Newsarama.

Also:

Teen Titans #24 by Scott Lobdell and Angel Unzueta

As Forever Evil spreads across the world, where have the Teen Titans gone? Find out when they are and why the Titans definitely aren’t together!

There don’t appear to be any new digital Flash or Impulse back-issues this week.

This Week – Forever Evil: Rogues Rebellion #1 & Impulse vs White Lightning

Forever Evil Rogues Rebellion 1

The Rogues call no man boss, but a new evil threat might not leave them much choice! Will they fall in line, or refuse and risk certain death? The answer will tear the Rogues apart! Brian Buccellato, Patrick Zircher, Scott Hepburn. Preview at IGN.

Digital backissues: Impulse #80 wraps up the White Lightning story that’s been running through the last few issues, weaving from foreground to background and back, and Bart makes a decision about his future. To the best of my knowledge, it’s her final appearance. Todd Dezago, Carlo Barberi, Juan Vlasco.

This Week: Triple Flash in Dark Digital Danger

No new Flash comics this week, but DC is adding one more to its digital backissue catalog: The Flash #156 featuring three Flashes in peril!

The Dark Flash battles Replicant in the main timeline. In Walter West’s alternate timeline, Walter and Wally fight each other and Abra Kadabra…and we learn the true origin of the Dark Flash.

Mark Waid & Brian Augustyn, Paul Pelletier & Jose Marzan Jr, cover by Steve Lightle.

Flash #156 (Dark Flash Saga)

This Week: Forever Evil, Impulse vs. the Joker (sort of)

Forever Evil #2 starring Johnny Quick, Ultraman and Superwoman

Forever Evil #2 is out this week, with a cover focusing on the Crime Syndicate’s evil Johnny Quick and the Teen Titans’ attempt to fight back now that the villains have taken over the world. It doesn’t look like that goes too well for the Titans.

Earth 2 #16 is out as well, closing out the war against Steppenwolf and the Hunger Dogs and revealing the identity of Brutal.

And in digital re-releases at ComiXology:

Impulse #79. This was a tie-in to the “Joker’s Last Laugh” event in which Joker thought he was dying, so he used a drug to transform villains all over the DCU into insane, smiling, “Jokerized” versions of themselves. Here, it’s an old foe of Max Mercury called Dr. Ether.
