“The Once And Future Flash” Images

The Flash TV series returns from hiatus next week, and the CW has released some official stills from the the episode! It’s titled “The Once And Future Flash”, and one of the images can be seen above. The rest (including some behind-the-scenes photos of Tom Cavanagh directing the episode) are available at Superhero Hype.

TOM CAVANAGH DIRECTS; BARRY TRAVELS TO THE FUTURE TO SAVE IRIS – Barry (Grant Gustin) travels to the future to find out Savitar’s still unknown identity in the hopes of saving Iris (Candice Patton). Upon his arrival in 2024, Barry encounters future versions of his Team Flash friends, who, following the death of Iris, have become very different people, profoundly impacted by their showdown with Savitar. It will be up to Barry to infuse a sense of hope back into the team, as he proves to be hero his future friends have been waiting for. Meanwhile, back in 2017, the hunt for Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) continues.

“I Know Who You Are” Synopsis

The CW has released the official synopsis for the May 2nd episode of The Flash, titled “I Know Who You Are”. Sounds like Team Flash may be getting closer to the mystery of Savitar’s identity.

VIBE FACES OFF AGAINST KILLER FROST – Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team meet Tracy Brand (guest star Anne Dudek), a scientist, who may be the key to stopping Savitar. Unfortunately, Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) is also after Tracy so Team Flash must battle their old friend, which proves to be particularly difficult for Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Cecile’s (guest star Danielle Nicolet) relationship takes a big turn. Hanelle Culpepper directed the episode written by Bronwen Clark & Joshua V. Gilbert (#320). Original airdate 5/2/2017.

As an aside, you might want to be wary of the television-related spoilers flying around right now. The show just filmed part of its season finale, and people who watched it on set have been posting videos and photos from a few key scenes.

There’s a slightly better glimpse of Mirror Master and the Top in this teaser, but the synopsis suggests they aren’t a major part of the episode. We’ll see.

Here’s the extended trailer for next week’s episode of The Flash, titled “Duet”. It’s the big musical crossover episode with the Music Meister (Darren Criss) and the cast of Supergirl, with guest appearances by Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Martin Stein (Victor Garber). All are accomplished singers, of course.
