Thoughts: Flashpoint #1 suggests that Citizen Cold isn’t the perfect hero he claims to be, and in fact the police suspect him of murder.
Also, the Rogues on here, for those who might not be familiar with all of them, include Fallout and Tar Pit alongside more familiar faces like Trickster, Mirror Master and Weather Wizard.
Yay Tarpit! His first appearance is one of my favorite issues. I like seeing him show up.
I got the feeling from Flashpoint #1 that the police were trying to pin murder on Citizen Cold, kinda like how J. Jonah Jameson was always going after Spider-Man in the movies (and the comics I am sure but I don’t read Spider-Man).
But anyway, this mini looks very interesting.
I’ve always wanted to see characters like Tar Pit and Double Down actually added to the Rogues. Some interesting dynamics there…
My Rogues:
Captain Cold
Weather Wizard
Heat Wave
Mirror Master
The Trickster II
Captain Boomerang
Double Down
Tar Pit
And maybe a new Rogue. Someone brand new and invented by Johns/Kolins. 🙂
Characters like Girder or Murmur don’t fit with Cold’s Rogues though…
But yeah can’t wait to catch this series here in a few weeks!!! I’m interested in how Kolins writes these characters that he’s best at drawing…:)
