Flash TV Quick Hits

We have a long time to wait until The Flash series shows its next episode (January 20th), but hopefully these news bits will tide you over until then.

Spoilers behind the jump.

Access Hollywood reports that actress Peyton List has been cast as Lisa Snart. Best known for the television series The Tomorrow People, she will apparently play a Lisa who is keen to join her brother’s team. List will debut in the 16th episode.

Variety talked with Andy Mientus (Pied Piper) about playing an openly gay character and pleasing longtime Flash fans. Piper will star in the second episode after the mid-season break, on January 27th.

Collider.com interviewed showrunner Andrew Kreisberg about Flash villains and what’s happening on the show in 2015, including a bit about Mark Hamill as the Trickster. Hamill will appear in the 17th episode.

About Lia

Lia is a Canadian fan of the Flashes and the Rogues. She's particularly interested in memorabilia of the Rogues and Reverse Flashes, collecting art, and memorizing a whole lot of pointless trivia. She may be the world's only diehard fan of the Top due to a love of hopeless causes, and she runs a fan blog on Tumblr, known as gorogues or The Rogues Kick Ass.

I hope we get to see more fights during the day. Every battle Barry has villains seems to take place during the night. I suppose it helps make the costumes look a bit less ridiculous, but it would be a nice contrast to Arrow to have the climatic fight scenes before the sun goes down.

I think most of the action scenes are shot at night, for whatever reason. They filmed some action scenes from the next episode on my friend’s street, and all the shooting was done at night. Maybe fewer people are around to get in the way then.

I am so looking forward to Piper’s appearance. It would be great if he hooked up with Singh, too, especially since that plot line has been dropped in the comics.
