DC has another Flashpoint tease today: the cover to issue #1.
We’ve seen the image before. It’s the one they used to announce the 14 miniseries last week. This time, the Andy Kubert/Sandra Hope art is in full color.
That’s clearly Aquaman, Cyborg and Batman in the background. I can’t place the one in armor on the right – maybe Wonder Woman? Update: Thanks, Lia. Definitely Wonder Woman!
The red/blue contrast really makes the Flash pop out of the cover.
I’ve got to admit, it’s cool to really see the Flash at the center of one of DC’s big events!
According to the Flashpoint action figures promo posted today, yes that’s Wonder Woman.

Holy crap! I didn’t think it was possible, but I’m getting more excited about Flashpoint each week. DC’s marketing campaign is clearly working on me! I was trying to cut back on the action figure buying, too! So much for that idea.
Ah, cool! Thanks!
The Kubert art isn’t helping me get excited about this event.
I’ll freely admit that the utter lack of Wally things/stories has seriously stunted my interest in things purely Barry. If the toy ad is anything to go by then Barry’s going to be the only real Flash in this as well. I’m thinking now I’m going to wait on the Dastardly Death’s trade seeing as it’s just a prelude to this story. If I don’t like this one (no Bart, Wally, Jay scenes other than their removal from the time line) then I’m going to pass on the whole dang thing and save my money for Speed Force and old JLA stories.
That cover looks like something that belongs in the grim-Batman books. Interesting…but not 20-plus dollars worth. Adopting Wait (more) -&-See mode.
I keep thinking this is Aqualad, Cyborg, Dick, Donna, and Barry, but no Wally.
