I can’t lie, I squealed like a teenage girl when the image first loaded and I saw the belt. Then grim reality set in and I realized it was just a new version of Barry sporting a costume closer to the DCnU version. It looks like they used the great sculpts from the DC Direct Blue Lantern and White Lantern Flash released earlier this year and of course the kicker is the blue eyes. Still a great looking figure that will make a great birthday present to myself come April.

When they’re that sculpted why even bother with articulation? Those models are gorgeous though and I would’ve bought one in a heartbeat if there were green eyes. I’ll have to see if my wife wants to apply her skills towards repainting them before shelling out for this one.

No joke I had the exact same thought about this figure. I might be purchasing two. I don’t think we will be seeing Wally as the Flash for a good long while.

Actually, if you remember Wally rocked the boot wings when he returned from his exile on Savoth. This is even represented in two of his action figures: Mattel’s Infinite Heroes Wally West and DC Direct’s Justice League of America Series 3 Wally West.

Ya but in my personal oppinion, I always felt that was more of a Barry thing, plus I would go either green eyes or fill in the red and do white lenses.

I can understand that. When I saw the wings for the first time they kind of bugged me a lot. Especially when they randomly threw them on Wally when Bart before him was the one who was supposed to be wearing Barry’s costume. After a while though (and despite the art) they grew on me. Now Barry doesn’t even have them anymore.

Hey Devin, I just started getting into buying the figures and I need your opinion, I want to represent the entire flash family at their first and their best and for them to be balanced to each other. Any recommendations on perticular figures?

      My personal favorites:

      Wally: JLA Series 1 Flash
Jay: Justice Society of America Golden Age Flash
Barry: Silver Age Flash and Kid Flash Set
Bart: Teen Titans Series 2 Kid Flash
      Max: DC Speedsters Max Mercury

    I suffered the same excited/gut kick….”Wa!!y-oh-f-dang.”
Wonder if they’ll ever make one of Wally in his new (and barely used) suit?
Also, I saw on a recent daily Wally West Google search a really nice sculpture someone had made of Linda Park. Wish I had a sculptor in the family. 🙂

Grace, I’m with ya! If it’s the V belt, it’s Wally West to me! Regardless of eye color! It’s a definite buy!
