With Comic-Con International on the verge of taking over the comics press cycle and fan collective mind for the next week, DC Comics has announced their next animated feature after Flashpoint Paradox: Justice League: War in 2014, based on the first storyline in the New 52 Geoff Johns/Jim Lee Justice League series.
This is the first New 52 storyline to be adapted to animation. Some of the voice case has been announced, including Chris Gorham (Covert Affairs, The Batman) as the Flash.

How long is the story going to be when characters can’t just pose and emote at each other? Fifteen minutes?
As long as it takes for mass killing to remove every character but Barry, Superman, and Batman?
Honestly, I used to look forward to DCAU productions….until the last few got (imho) overly bloody. Why is there so much gore in ‘entertainment’ all of a sudden? Why such a dearth of stuff bridging kindergarten material and “Oh look, his eye is gouged out and dripping blood everywhere. (Joker)” Gah.
I don’t even remember the first JL story arc. Something about parademons in the sewers and Cyborg becoming Cyborg is all I recall. You can see it made a lasting impression.
wish I could say I’m excited, but I just really, really am not. Didn’t care for this story to be honest. Though I’m sure it will have nice animation.
