This summer’s big event in the DCU is “Knight Terrors”. It’s a landscape full of horror, infecting every part of the DC Universe. In this 2-part story, it’s taken Barry Allen into his own worst nightmare. Wally West is still Kid Flash…and he’s dying. Barry is doing things he would never normally do to try and save Wally – but at the end of issue 1, Barry was finally in sight of Wally’s monster. What, or who was it? Given all the issues surrounding the production of this movie, from the allegations against the lead actor to all sorts of production delays, I wasn’t sure what I would see when I went to the multiplex on Father’s Day. THE FLASH movie turned out to be surprising in a lot of ways…and it does set the stage well for the next phase of the DCEU. Before we start the issue count over at 1, and before we enter the “Dawn of DC” storyline, we get a special issue that celebrates Wally West at his best. There are five (count ’em) stories in this special issue, with some of the best Flash creators providing the tales.
