The CW has released the extended trailer and official still images for The Flash‘s mid-season premiere, titled “The Trial of the Flash”. The episode will air on January 16th. One still can be seen at left, and look below for the trailer and a link to the images.

The other stills can be seen at Flash TV News. As noted at the link, the prosecutor in the story arc will be played by Mark Valley, who starred as Christopher Chance in the FOX DC series Human Target.

BARRY FIGHTS FOR HIS LIFE — As Barry’s (Grant Gustin) trial for the murder of Clifford DeVoe begins, Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) must decide how far they are willing to go to keep Barry out of prison. Philip Chipera directed the episode written by Lauren Certo & Kristen Kim (#410). Original airdate 1/16/2018.



Now we know who is really in charge of the underworld in Central City…and where they are hiding out. More than that, there is someone who knows all of Barry’s secrets and is willing to sell him out. What we don’t know is how…and what else may be hiding within the walls of the supposedly impenetrable walls of Iron Heights. This issue we start to see all of the plans coming together, and it is really bad news for the Scarlet Speedster. Want to know more? Follow us after the break!
Not to be too punny, but I’m running behind on this review…and I’ll explain later in this post. But, I didn’t want to miss out on the chance to say a few words about this issue.
