Preview Available for Flash #13

DC has released a preview of Flash #13 to Maxim. The preview pages pick up on threads in both Flash #0 and Flash Annual #1 and tease the main story coming up in Gorilla Warfare: Grodd and his army invade Central City.

Flash #13 by Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato arrives in stores next week. It’s perhaps worth noting that while we’ve seen three Flash #1 issues since 2006, this is the first time one of those series has made it to #13.*

*Of course, if we’re counting issues and not issue numbers, this series hit thirteen last month, and the 2007 Wally West relaunch went for 17 issues after it picked up where the initial run left off at #231.

Preview out for Flash #11

Newsarama has a 3-page preview of next week’s The Flash #11 featuring Heat Wave, written by Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato with guest art by Marcus To and Ray McCarthy.

It looks like this version of Heat Wave is somewhere between Geoff Johns’ pyromaniac and Adam Glass’ full-on psychopath in Flashpoint: Legion of Doom (a portrayal I could do without ever seeing again) — a lot of it probably due to the fact that his power upgrade doesn’t seem to have worked out as cleanly as Captain Cold’s or Weather Wizard’s.

Also, I can’t stop seeing the fact that the splash page uses the STAR WARS lettering style.

IO9 has a preview of Flash #9 online.

Lia points out on Twitter, “So Turbine spins and his name is Roscoe? Uh huh.” Indeed, that sounds strangely familiar

This Week: The Flash #7 (Preview)

Captain Cold is back – and he’s more dangerous than ever! Seeking revenge on The Flash, he must convince the rest of the Rogues to reunite one last time. But what tore them apart before? And what did The Flash do to earn their deadly scorn? Find out here!

DC has released a preview of the issue through BuzzFeed. The article title and URL sound like they could use a spoiler warning, which is why I suspect they’re figurative.

Edit: I forgot to link to it yesterday, but here’s the variant cover by Dale Keown.
