DC TV Panel At SDCC

It’s pretty late here on the east coast, and CBR and Newsarama seem to have ended their news coverage before the start of this panel. All reporting comes from the Twitter account @KSiteTV and their sister site, @FlashTVNews.

The Flash pilot officially aired for the first time tonight at SDCC. However, it’s an open secret that the pilot leaked onto the Internet about a month ago, and that’s why there have been so many spoilers flying around. The information repeated here does contain spoilers for the pilot (and beyond), so be warned.

-Episode of the Flash series will be called “Flash vs. Arrow.”

-Grant Gustin talked about the Rogues, including Captain Cold and the Reverse Flash. Unfortunately there were no details on what he said.

Flash is a lighter show than Arrow, with more humour.

-Clyde Mardon is the Weather Wizard seen in the pilot episode. There’s a reason why Mark Mardon isn’t the Weather Wizard in the pilot, but they wouldn’t explain why it’s Clyde because that would be a spoiler.

-The pilot showed an empty cage at STAR Labs with a sign reading ‘Gorilla Grodd’. Geoff Johns said “You will see Grodd. That cage was not there by mistake.”

-Grant Gustin said of Barry, “He’s a very genuine character that I love playing. He’s easy to relate to because he’s so genuine.”

Not too many details, but at least it’s something!
