The second part of the episode will air on Wednesday night, during Arrow‘s usual timeslot. And then presumably we’ll be seeing more development of this story when Legends Of Tomorrow begins on January 21st.

Looking forward to the crossover? Let us know your thoughts!

“End of the Hunt” – Review of THE FLASH #46

This is what we’ve been waiting for…for Professor Zoom to show his hand. The hunt is over and the battle begins on several fronts. The police blame Barry for the recent destruction in Central City, and Professor Zoom blames Barry for…well, just about everything bad in history. Things are stacked up against the Flash in just about every Avway possible, which is where we pick up in “End of the Hunt”, THE FLASH #46!

New Legends Of Tomorrow Trailer

There’s no episode of The Flash this week, but the CW’s gifted us with a new lengthy trailer for Legends Of Tomorrow! It will premiere on January 21st, and is seemingly due for the Thursday night timeslot.

There’s no Flash in this trailer, but we’ve seen from the previous trailer that he may make cameo appearances here and there. The series does have Captain Cold and Heat Wave amongst its core cast, as well as both halves of Firestorm and Hawkgirl (who also made their debuts in The Flash series). And, of course, both The Flash and Arrow have spent a fair amount of time setting up this new series, so you could arguably look at LoT as the culmination of those plotlines.

Is the missing Heat Wave dead—or alive? The Rogues reunite to find out. But the search has gone so bad that they need to enlist the help of The Flash to find out!

This seems like an odd time to bring the Rogues back in, as the Zoom Crew’s story rushes to its conclusion next month. Maybe it’s a temporary description that stuck.

The Flash By Geoff Johns Book One is coming out as well (this Wednesday to comic stores, next Tuesday to bookstores). This softcover collection follows up on the hardcover Omnibus series from a few years back, and according to Amazon it collects:

  • The Flash #164-176: Wonderland, Blood Will Run, and Birth Right.
  • Iron Heights
  • The Flash Secret Files #3
  • The Flash: Our Worlds at War

Extended Flash/Arrow Crossover Trailer

The CW has posted a much longer trailer for the upcoming crossover of The Flash and Arrow. The episodes are due to air on December 1st and 2nd, and will feature the debut of some major DCU characters (you’ll see them in the trailer). We’ll be seeing more of them in Legends Of Tomorrow, so this is a bit of a prologue of sorts for that series.
