Godspeed is back, or at least Godspeed’s clones are back. They may be fighting each other for now, but they have already proven to be more than a match for Team Flash. A theme of redemption has been running through the seventh season of THE FLASH. We’ve seen some pretty dangerous baddies take a turn for the better. That trend gets a severe test in this episode, as Allegra faces her cousin, Ultraviolet. Things aren’t looking good, especially with Barry and Iris off to an island paradise. Last episode we gave a fond farewell to Cisco and Kamilla. But, we were also introduced to a new danger to Team Flash, tied to Cecile. She is trapped in a mindscape, along with one other critical member of the team. This episode includes some great acting on the part of Daniele Nicolet (Cecile Horton) and Brandon McKnight (Chester P. Runk). And, we see the return of another great character. Wally West has been shuffled through time, inhabiting the body of one speedster after another. Wally “finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong and hoping each time that his next leap… will be the leap home.” No, wait, that’s the intro text from “Quantum Leap”, and frankly this story works far better for any speedster-loving fan out there. It’s the end of an era. A fan favorite character is leaving the series, and this episode is his swan song. Let’s all grab the tissues and get ready for a good-bye to Cisco Ramon.
