Flash #34 Selfie Variant Cover
DC is doing a line-wide month of selfie variant covers in August, and Newsarama has posted the latest batch. This is the Flash #34 cover (click on the image for the full size), and it’s by Eddy Barrows and Eber Ferreira. I think it’s really fun, as are a lot of these! What do you guys think?
Flash #35 Monster Variant Cover
DC is going to be doing monster variant covers for October, including a zombie Flash by Ryan Ottley and FCO Plascencia. It’s a bit more gruesome than some of the other monster covers I’ve seen, so I’m putting it after the cut.
Flash #32 DC Bombshells Variant Cover
DC has revealed the last five Bombshells variant covers by Ant Lucia, featuring 1940s/50s style pin-up girl art, including the alternate cover for The Flash #32. The themed covers will appear on a number of DC’s comics in June.
I’d been wondering who was going to be the focus of the Flash cover ever since it was announced, since DC had erased their prominent female speedsters back in Flashpoint/New 52 launch.
Mike Allred Batman ’66-Style Variant Cover for Flash #31
IGN reveals 5 of Mike Allred’s 19 variant covers honoring the 1966 Batman TV show in May, including this wonderfully recursive image for The Flash #31.
Flash #30 MAD Variant Cover (and extended preview)
BuzzFeed has more preview pages for this week’s Flash #30, plus the MAD variant cover featuring mascot Alfred E. Neuman as Gorilla Grodd (shown above). This is the second MAD-themed variant for The Flash, after last April’s issue. Newsarama has combined both sets of previews for the issue, now up to 8 pages out of 20.
